Description
LVBNA is one of Mónica Naranjo's most ambitious projects and also one of the most conceptual. Released in 2016, the album is conceived as a rock opera with its own narrative, almost like a soundtrack: the record progresses through scenes, moods, and characters, combining epicness, drama, and a very cinematic approach in the arrangements.
Musically, LVBNA alternates passages of tension and forcefulness with more lyrical and atmospheric ones, always featuring a very prominent vocal performance. The repertoire includes standout tracks like “Jamás,” “Fin,” and “Perdida,” alongside impactful cuts such as “Apocalíptica” and “Holocausto.” The album’s structure also relies on pieces with names and transitions that reinforce the story, like “Lasciatemi qui,” “Essere uno,” “Mortem eleonard,” and “Lubna y eleonard,” which close the record with an especially epic tone.
This double picture disc vinyl edition features the symphonic version of the album, spread over four sides, and is designed to be listened to as a complete work, from start to finish, rather than as a collection of singles. It is a very suitable edition if you want to experience the album’s concept in its full breadth, with the narrative and production as the central focus.
