Solar Power, released on August 20, 2021, is the third album by Lorde and marks a shift towards acoustic textures and indie-folk, moving away from the electronic approach of Melodrama. The album creates an imagery of summer, nature, and distance from fame, with nods to the Laurel Canyon school and a clear focus on voice and guitar. Key moments include “Solar Power”, “Stoned at the Nail Salon”, “Mood Ring”, and “Oceanic Feeling”.

The credits list co-production by Lorde and Jack Antonoff, with contributions from Malay; vocal collaborations from Phoebe Bridgers and Clairo throughout the album, and an appearance by Robyn in the outro of “Secrets from a Girl (Who’s Seen It All)”. The technical side includes mixing by Mark “Spike” Stent and Laura Sisk, and mastering by Chris Gehringer.
