Crónicas inenarrables is an LGTBIQ+ young adult novel set in a Barcelona town during the 1960s. Miguel, its young protagonist, dreams of becoming an artist in a time when feeling different could be dangerous. Through art, friendship, and the discovery of desire, Miguel finds his path and identity.
With a sensitive and emotional narrative, Javier Comas portrays a story of personal growth in a hostile environment, where human support and respect for one’s own feelings become key.
The novel was awarded the Premio Todo Mejora 2024 for LGTBIQ+ young adult literature, granted by Kabo-Bero Ediciones and It Gets Better España, for its value as a testimony of memory, diversity, and resistance.
Author biography
Javier Comas (Barcelona, 1961) is a writer, photographer, visual artist, and former dancer. His artistic career spans dance, photography, and contemporary art, having exhibited internationally. As a writer, after working in crime novels and short stories, he won the Premio Todo Mejora 2024 with this semi-autobiographical work that highlights the gay adolescent experience and affirms identity through art and friendship.
