McNamara

McNamara is the duo formed by Fabio McNamara and Luis Miguélez, iconic figures of the Movida Madrileña and the Spanish underground culture. The project blends glam rock, techno pop, and a provocative, transgressive aesthetic that reflects the irreverent essence of the 1980s. In their early days, they collaborated with Pedro Almodóvar, strengthening the link between music, film, and counterculture.

In 2001, they released Rockstation, their second album, a work that fuses electric guitars with electronic beats and lyrics full of irony and attitude. McNamara remains a reference for camp aesthetics, excess, and creative freedom within pop and queer music in Spain.
